Welcome to Goat Song Nubians! I hope you enjoy your visit here!
Located in Sheridan, Oregon, I raise my favorite animals of all: Goats!
New, as of May 2013: I am selling off my entire herd of goats and am taking a break for a year or two! Many of my does are already gone, but I do still have my herdsire, two senior does, and two junior does for sale. Check the 'For Sale' page for prices, and feel free to email me with any questions you might have.
I strive to breed Purebred Nubians that are colorful, competitive in the show ring, excellent milkers, and have sweet temperaments. I keep what I call, "pleasure milkers", meaning I only keep does that are easy to milk, have good manners on the milk stand and are all around easy to handle.
My herd numbers are very small this year, as I am being very strict about what bloodlines I am letting into my herd. My goats are ADGA registered, CAE/CL free.
My goals for my goats are a little high I suppose... I want does that are feminine looking; with long legs, capacious udders, long, belled ears, and overall grace. They should have a powerful presence that turns heads, but it shouldn't overwhelm their ladylike-ness. They should be colorful, but not clownish. Strong, but not coarse. Feminine, but not weak. Each one possessing an elegant style that is uniquely theirs...
Obviously, I still have a long ways to go before I even get close to my idea of a "perfect" Nubian doe, but I feel like I'm off to a good start at least.
Feel free to contact me with any goat related questions you might have! I am always ready to talk goats!
